PRESIDENT OF THE FRENCH REPUBLIC, EMMANUEL MACRON, VISITED THE FORMER FRENCH LEGACY

During his official visit to the historic capital of Montenegro, the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, and the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, visited the building of the former French Legation on 4 June 2026. The building houses the most representative collections of the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević”.

ANNUAL ASSEMBLY OF THE MONTENEGRIN LIBRARIANS ASSOCIATION: AWARDS PRESENTED AND NEW LEADERSHIP ELECTED

The regular Assembly of the Montenegrin Librarians Association (MLA) was held on 3 June 2026 at the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” in Cetinje. The event brought together librarians from across the country, as well as representatives of cultural institutions and the media.

On Friday, 29 May, the National Library was visited by representatives of the publishing house “GAEditori” from Sicily. On that occasion, they donated valuable publications from their publishing house to the Library.

The National Library of Montenegro "Đurđe Crnojević" bids a heartfelt farewell to Bogić Rakočević, poet, essayist, literary critic, and former Director of the institution, who passed away yesterday at the age of 64.
