“TRACES OF CREATION” EXHIBITION MARKING THE 80TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ASSOCIATION OF FINE ARTISTS OF MONTENEGRO AT THE “ĐURĐE CRNOJEVIĆ” NATIONAL LIBRARY IN CETINJE
The National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” is organising the exhibition Traces of Creation to mark eight decades of the Association of Fine Artists of Montenegro (ULUCG).
The official opening will take place on Thursday, 22 October 2026, at 6 pm at the National Library of Montenegro in Cetinje.
The exhibition has been curated by Irena Đurković and Veselin Pejović and draws on materials from the Library’s Art and Graphic Collection and other holdings.
Through exhibition catalogues, monographs, specialist publications and newspaper articles, the exhibition offers an insight into eight decades of the Association’s work, showcasing its exhibition activities, artistic movements and generations of artists who have shaped the development of Montenegrin fine art from its founding in 1946 to 2026. Arranged chronologically, the exhibition documents the continuity of artistic creation and the changes that have shaped Montenegro’s visual arts scene.
The opening ceremony will feature speeches by:
Svetlana Dragojević, President of the Association of Fine Artists of Montenegro, who will officially open the exhibition;
Irena Đurković, MA in Library and Information Science at the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” and curator of the exhibition;
