Except newspapers (daily, official) and magazines, the Serials Collection includes newsletters, yearbooks, almanacs, calendars, chronicles, proceedings (of companies, universities, institutes, academies), work reports, plans and work programs, information, reviews of university lectures, statistical yearbooks (of states and cities), school papers, annual reports, reports written in shorthand.
Serial publications may have two signatures:
PN – Montenegrin newspaper
P – Magazines (domestic and foreign)
The collection is filled in by the current accession and all the data are entered into the electronic catalogue by ISBD (CR) (International Standard Bibliographic Description for Serials and Other Continuing Resources).
Within this collection, CIP (Cataloguing in Publication) is prepared for all serials in Montenegro.
Bibliographic data on all the country’s newspapers and magazines and information about the fund can be found in the electronic catalogue of the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević”. Also, data from the Montenegrina Collection relating to serials are placed in the electronic catalogue.
Materials can be used in the reading rooms of the National Library, from 7am to 7pm on weekdays, and from 7am to 2pm on Saturdays.
