NATIONAL LIBRARY OF MONTENEGRO PARTICIPATES IN THE SECOND INTERNATIONAL LITERATURE FESTIVAL

The Second International Literature Festival is being held in Podgorica from 29 September to 4 October, featuring a programme dedicated to literature, books and contemporary cultural creativity.

The Festival brings together numerous distinguished authors from Montenegro, the region and across Europe, offering audiences the opportunity to meet writers, publishers and other cultural figures. The Festival’s book fair section, located at Independence Square, is open daily from 11 am to 9 pm, with free admission for all visitors.

The National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” is participating in the Festival’s book fair section. The Library’s publishing activity is being presented through its series, including Facsimile Editions, Special Editions, Bibliographies, Bio-Bibliographies, Handbooks and other publications.

The Facsimile Editions series includes editions of the Crnojević Printing House and the Printing House of Božidar Vuković Podgoričanin, as well as editions of Njegoš’s Printing House; the manuscript Cetinje Psalter (15th century); editions of old Montenegrin periodicals, including Crnogorac, Glas Crnogorca, Crnogorka, Zeta and others; books by Pavle Mijović; and Dimitrije Popović’s graphic portfolio Oktoih: 1494–2014.

The National Library’s Special Editions series comprises titles covering cultural history, literature, literary criticism, essay writing and other fields, published independently or in cooperation with other publishers.

The Bibliographies series includes bibliographical lists of articles published in old Montenegrin literary and other periodicals, among other publications.

The Bio-Bibliographies series features biobibliographical profiles of prominent Montenegrin cultural figures, including Prof. Dr Jevrem Bjelica, Dragan Radulović, Dr Božidar Šekularac, Pavle Goranović, Mladen Lompar and others.
