As part of a several-day visit to Montenegro, a delegation from the National Institution Library “Grigor Prličev” in Ohrid visited the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” on 11 June 2026.
The delegation, comprising the Director of the Ohrid Library, Hristina Trpeska, cataloguing librarian Beti Lazesku Simonoska, and Public Relations Librarian Milčo Jovanoski, was welcomed by Mr Ivan Radulović, Director of the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević”; Ms Vesna Kovačević, Acting Assistant Director for Library Affairs; and Mr Vjenceslav Ševaljević, Acting Assistant Director for Development.
The guests introduced the management of the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” to the history and activities of one of Ohrid’s oldest and most significant cultural institutions, which preserves the Pčinja Gospel, a rare sixteenth-century manuscript.
Following a cordial meeting, during which opportunities for future cooperation between the two libraries were also discussed, the cultural representatives of Cetinje and Ohrid exchanged commemorative gifts.
