During his official visit to the
historic capital of Montenegro, the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović,
and the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, visited the building
of the former French Legation on 4 June 2026. The building houses the most
representative collections of the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe
Crnojević”.
The distinguished guests were welcomed
by the Director of the National Library, Mr Ivan Radulović; the Acting
Assistant Director for Library Affairs of the National Library of Montenegro
“Đurđe Crnojević”, Ms Vesna Kovačević; the Acting Assistant Director for
Development, Ms Vjenceslava Ševaljević; and the Head of the Department of the
National Collection, Legacies, and Rare and Old Books, Ms Danijela Radulović.
During the visit, President Macron was presented, on behalf of the National
Library, with a commemorative gift as a token of respect and appreciation for
taking the time to visit the institution.
