On the occasion of the great jubilee and the milestone event in Montenegrin history – 100 years since the restoration of the Kingdom of Montenegro, CNL Djurdje Crnojevic prepared several celebratory publications and three thematic exhibitions.
The publication “Orations and Proclamations of King Nikola” and catalogues for the exhibitions: “Nikola I, Ruler and Poet“, “Montenegrin and Foreign Press about the Restoration of the Kingdom of Montenegro in 1910” and “Embassies in Cetinje”.
King Nikola was a remarkably gifted orator who wrote hundreds of state, military and political speeches during his reign, and his orations hold also outstanding literary value.The book contains the facsimiles of forceful and authoritative speeches characterised by remarkable oration style and statesman’s wisdom. Symbolically, there are 58 such speeches, as many as the years of rule of the King Nikola I Petrovic. The publication has the print run of 1,000 copies, 499 of them in luxurious cover and each copy numbered.

The exhibition and catalogue “Nikola I – Ruler and Poet” present a creative portrait of our great ruler, depicting his contribution to Montenegrin literature, and views of literature and arts in general.The catalogue contains some 190 publications, divided into several sections: the works of Nikola I, from the oldest to the most recent editions, then selection from literature about him and his work. A special section contains ceremonial works, dedicated to this great ruler, great man and poet.
The selected publications, covered by the exhibition and the catalogue, all belong to the holdings of the CNL Djurdje Crnojevic.
