Now almost traditionally, master's degree students of the Faculty of Philology from Nikšić with professor Dušanka Popović, Ph.D. come to visit to the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” in order to get acquainted with all segments of the activities of this most important Montenegrin library institution.
The post-graduates were welcomed by Milenija Vračar, consultant librarian, who during the tour of the Library briefly introduced them to all the various jobs that are carried out here. Then Vjenceslava Ševaljević, consultant librarian and head of the Department for Library Information System and Digitization, gave a presentation on the COBISS system and the Virtual Library of Montenegro.
Đurđa Martinović, consultant librarian, presented to the students the search of bibliographic databases in the new version of the COBISS Plus application.
In the continuation of this meaningful visit, consultant librarian Zorica Sjekloća spoke about the most significant digitization projects and the Digital Library of Montenegro, while consultant librarian Boris Kaluđerović presented a retrospective and national bibliography.
After very interactive and interesting lectures, the guests visited the building of the former French embassy, and their host was Marija Mašanović, senior librarian. There, postgraduates had the opportunity to get acquainted with the most valuable publications from the Montenegrin written heritage, which the National Library carefully preserves for current and future generations of users.
