Safet Hadrović Vrbički: Here, where history and tradition meet, we are obliged to nurture values that teach us respect, understanding and love for every person, regardless of their religion, nation or origin.

Promotion of the book “Divan: antologija vlastite lirike”, by Safet Hadrović Vrbički was held at the National Library  of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” last night.

Suljo Mustafić, Saša Božović, Miraš Martinović, Božidar Proročić and the author took part in the program.

Mr. Mustafić, the president of the Bosniak Council in Montenegro, pointed out that Safet Hadrović Vrbički through his poetic and prose work offers not only an aesthetic experience, but also a deeper understanding of the world that surrounds us.

„His ability to translate the subtleties of the Bosniak soul and spirit into literary form makes him an extremely important writer who preserves and transmits cultural and spiritual identity. Through his work, we actually learn about the depths of human existence, which makes him a true custodian of both national and universal human heritages”, said Mustafić.

In Hadrović's works, cultural expert Božović clarifies, we find a unique synthesis of cultural values and universal human principles.

“His creativity is not only a reflection of the rich Bosniak tradition, but also a strong voice that speaks of the universal aspirations of man for freedom, justice and beauty. With his work, he contributes to bridges of understanding between different cultures, while preserving a deep connection with his own identity”, said Božović.

According to the writer Martinović, Hadrović is a master of words who weaves the local and the universal, the traditional and the modern with incredible ease, so his works are like a treasury where the precious things of Bosniak culture are kept, but also like open windows through which the light of common, universal humanity reaches in.

“He is not only a writer; he is an artist who paints the soul of his people with the image of words, at the same time addressing every person who strives for understanding and beauty “, Martinović pointed out.

Writer and publicist Božidar Proročić agrees that Hadrović's literary oeuvre represents an extraordinary contribution not only to Bosniak literature, but also to European literature. He emphasized that in Hadrović’s works “we are finding an inexhaustible inspiration, beauty and lessons that are teaching us to value diversity, to cherish compassion and to build together a world in which art and culture will be the foundations on which our common humanity rests.”

With this event, the Bosniak Council in Montenegro officially opened the manifestation “Culture Days of the Bosniaks of Montenegro”, which will last for the next month.
