NEW EDITION – “OLD POSTCARDS IN THE COLLECTIONS OF THE NATIONAL LIBRARY OF MONTENEGRO “ĐURĐE CRNOJEVIĆ” AND THE STATE ARCHIVES OF MONTENEGRO: BIBLIOGRAPHY”
The publication “Old postcards in the collections of the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” and the State Archives of Montenegro: bibliography”, authored by Danijela Radulović and Ana Pejović, was published in a joint edition of the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” and the State Archives of Montenegro.
The bibliography contains 2083 bibliographic units, which are divided into nine groups:
1. Topographic postcards
2. Public releases
3. Historical events
4. War scenes
5. Public festivities
6. Portraits
7. Reproductions of works of art
8. Greeting Cards
9. Other
Under each unit is the ID number under which the postcard can be found in the online catalogue of the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” or the inventory number of the archival department or the State Archives of Montenegro.At the end of the Bibliography there is a Register of publishers, photographers, photographic studios, booksellers and printers, based on the data contained in each individual postcard and the elements by which they are recognizable. Also, there is the Register of Names, which represents a significant segment, especially for research, with special reference to interpersonal and family relationships.In addition to these, there are also Register of Geographical Terms and Topographical Register so that users know where the listed material is located. After the registers, there are brief information about individual publishers, photographers, studios, bookstores and printers with their monograms.At the very end, there is a selection of representative postcards from the mentioned funds.
