The director of
the National Library of Montenegro, Dragica Lompar, MSc and the Head of the
Department for Library Information System and Digitization, Vjenceslava
Ševaljević, MSc paid an official visit to Pljevlja on Tuesday, September 26.
The primary
reason for this visit was the intention to encourage the “Tanasije Pejatović”
High School’s Library from Pljevlja, which has been a full member of the
COBISS.CG library and information system since the end of 2019, to start
actively using this system, that is, entering records into the local base.
Given that the
school library is currently undergoing renovation, thanks to the kindness of
colleagues and director of the Public Library “Stevan Samardžić” - Bojana
Đačić, the interview with the school librarian Ljuba Čepić was held in the
premises of the Public Library.
In addition to
director Đaćić, Sanja Đondović, secretary for culture, social and other issues
from the Municipality of Pljevlja was present at the meeting, as well as
librarian Ivana Cvijetić, who leads the Registry Office at the Public Library
“Stevan Samardžić”.
It was agreed
that as soon as the premises of the school library are ready for regular
functioning, which is expected in approximately one to two months, colleague
Ljuba Čepić, with the help of colleague Cvijetić, and, if necessary, a
colleague from the National Library, will start entering records into the local
database.
