The official
delegation of the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević”, led by the
director Dragica Lompar, MSc and including the assistant director for
development Dragan Mirković, the head of the Department for Library Information
System and Digitization, Vjenceslava Ševaljević, MSc, and system engineer Milutin
Đukić, visited the Library of the “Slobodan Škerović” high school in Podgorica.
They were hosted
by director Biljana Vučurović and librarian Sanja Marjanović.
The meeting was
also attended by Nebojša Raspopović, head of the Registry Office at the
“Radosav Ljumović” Public Library in Podgorica, which is responsible for all
school and special libraries in the Podgorica municipality.
This visit was inspired
by the desire to encourage the High School Library to actively participate in
the library and information system COBISS.CG., as its full member.
Representatives
of the National Library are familiar with the complexity of the work in this
Library, because the High School has over 2,000 pupils who use materials from
the Library, and often in the reading room itself.
However, all
those present agreed that despite the large volume of work in the Library, it
is necessary to start entering records into the local bibliographic database,
with the help of colleagues from the Public Library “Radosav Ljumović” and the
National Library of Montenegro.
