The National Library of
Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević”, as the holder of the library and information
system of Montenegro, in cooperation with the Institute of Information Science
of the University of Maribor (IZUM), is organizing the second “COBISS Day” on
Tuesday, September 20, 2022, starting at 11 a.m.
The event, which will be
officially opened by the directors of these two institutions, Dr. Aleš Bošnjak
and MSc. Dragica Lompar. It will be attended by librarians from all 47 members
of the COBISS.CG system and representatives of the Ministry of Culture and
Media and the Ministry of Science and Technological Development have also been
invited. Experts from the Institute of Information Sciences Davor Bračko and
Vesna Gašparič will present the dCOBISS Digital Repository, which is a new
Internet application of IZUM for storing digital content.
Meetings like this are an
opportunity for Montenegrin librarians to discuss with their colleagues from
Slovenia various important questions and doubts that they encounter in their
daily work in the shared cataloguing system.
