The National Library of
Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” recently donated a part of the publications from its
surplus fund for the needs of the Day Care Department of the Transcutaneous
Radiotherapy Department of the Institute of Oncology of the Clinical Center of
Montenegro, with the wish for successful treatment of patients and their prompt
recovery.
For years, NLM has been carrying
out activities in the form of donations of books and other library materials
for all interested institutions and organizations. Nevertheless, this donation
has a special significance, because it is about people who are fighting a
vicious disease and for whom a good book can make their stay at the Oncology
Department at least a little easier. It contains a various and popular type of literature,
and we especially emphasize books and picture books for the youngest.
The initiative for the donation
came from Mr. Ivica Madžarović, senior technician of the Institute of Oncology,
at which the Management and employees of NLM gave him recognition and owes him gratitude.
