Our library, as the national and parent
library of Montenegro, takes care of the training of staff for library
activities and provides professional assistance to librarians of all
Montenegrin libraries.
The preparation of future
lecturers for COBISS courses is in progress:
- Training for “Use of COBISS3
software / Cataloguing” - advanced course are undergoing librarians: Vera
Đukanović, MS, Vesna Kovačević, MS and Sanja Martinović, MS, and the instructor
is Andreja Krajnc Vobovnik from the Institute of Information Sciences, Maribor.
- “Use of COBISS3 software /
Loan” course is attended by: Milenija Vračar and Radmila Rašović and the
coordinator of this training is colleague Đurđa Martinović, MS, together with
instructor Marko Kušar from IZUM.
- For “Use of COBISS3 software /
CONOR update” course are trained librarians: Vjenceslava Ševaljević, MS and
Đurđa Martinović, MS.
At the end of the last year, our
colleague Đurđa Martinović, MS, obtained a license to independently conduct the
course “Transition to Cataloguing with Normative Control”.
This concept should give greater
productivity and economy, both in time and in work, but it also represents a
great professional challenge for cataloguers and other librarians.
We wish all participants to
successfully complete the trainings that will enable spreading of knowledge and
development of the library information system.
