The “Esspresivo” Music Festival, held within the Cetinje Summer of Culture, had its official opening on 23rd July 2009 at the Central Library “Djurdje Crnojevic” with the concert of Vladimir Ovchinnikov, Russia, one of the best representatives of the Russian pianist school.
The Concert repertoire of the eminent Russian artist will include pieces by Chopin, Beethoven, Liszt…As a logical continuation of the last year idea, the festival will gather over fifty artists from all over Europe to promote and develop superb performances of classical music. Some of the names, such as: Vladimir Ovchinnikov (Russia), Colin Stone (Great Britain), Herbert Kefer (Austria), Tufic Matuck (Lebanon), Zoran Markovic, Ljubisa Jovanovic, Imre Kalman and Florian Balaz, by their artistic mastery will add grandeur to this treat for the ears and offer unique and quite new experience to the wide audience. A special curiosity will certainly be the performance of the Chamber String Orchestra with soloists made of the best individuals and artists of the Western Balkans to be performing at the official closing on 2nd August at the Open-air Stage.With the exception of the one by the Chamber String Orchestra, all concerts will be held at the CNL atrium starting at 21h.
