The
National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” will mark 105 years since the
birth of Mihailo Lalić on October 7, 2019, starting at 7pm.
Rajko
Cerović, literary critic and publicist, will speak about his life and work and
there will be shown a documentary from the series “Circles of Literature”
created by the Television of Montenegro and dedicated to Lalić, whose author
was Nela Savković Vukčević, MA.
This
giant of Montenegrin literature was born in Trepča near Andrijevica in 1914. In
his works he deals with the subject of the Second World War in the territory of
Montenegro, and in his later works he largely covered the First World War.
He
has published a book of poems: “Stazama slobode” and a great number of short
stories and novels, the most famous of which are: “Svadba”, “Zlo proljeće”,
“Lelejska gora“, “Hajka“, “Pramen tame“, “Dokle gora zazeleni“, etc.
