The National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” will mark 85 years
since the birth of Blažo Šćepanović, a famous Montenegrin poet, on Monday,
April 8.
The documentary “Smrt
protiv smrti - Blažo Šćepanović” will be shown within this event. The script
was written by Radomir Perišić, a journalist and publicist, while the director was
Dr. Mirko Jakovljević. After the screening, they will give a talk
about Šćepanović.
The program starts at 7pm
at the Ceremonial Hall of the Library in Cetinje.
Blažo Šćepanović was born
in Lješnica near Bijelo Polje in 1934. He graduated from the
Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade. He worked in the
Educational-Cultural Council of the former SFRY.
He published books:
“Lobanja u travi”, “Ivicom zemlje zmija”, “Smrt pjesnikova”, “Zlatna šuma”,
“Ljubavlju izmjereno vrijeme” and, togrther with Branko Miljković “Smrću protiv
smrti”.
He drowned in Ohrid Lake
on August 26, 1966, during the event “Struške večeri poezije”.
