Central National Library “Đurđe Crnojević” was invited to participate at this year Levant Fair in Bari from 9-18 September. The invitation followed the worthy participation of Mrs Jelena Đurović, CNL director, at 9th International Seminar “Quality and Libraries” organised by the Multimedia Library from Bari ‘Teca del Mediteraneo’.
On 12th July 2006 the CNL “Đurđe Crnojević” was visited by the director of the Library and Documentation Centre of the Puglia Region Dr Waldemaro Morgese and his aide Dr Rosalba Magistro, in order to learn about the organisation and holdings of Montenegrin national library. It initiated the idea to dedicate one separate pavilion at the Levant Fair to the relations of Puglia and the Balkans, emphasising the cooperation among the libraries of Puglia, Albania and Montenegro.The Central National Library “Đurđe Crnojević” and Montenegro will thus be presented at this significant and renowned event by a representative publication from its rich holdings of old and rare books.
