During the official visit to Montenegro, the senators of the Foreign Affairs and Emigration Committee of the Senate of the Republic of Italy Paolo Corsini and Vito Petrochelli, Ambassador of the Italian Republic to Montenegro, H.E. Vincenzo del Monaco and associate at the Embassy Teresa Albano visited the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” in Cetinje.
In a conversation with the director of the National Library, Mr. Bogić Rakočević, distinguished guests expressed their satisfaction because of the opportunity to visit the Library in the former Italian Embassy building, and to learn more about it and Montenegrin culture.
It was spoken about the Library’s funds, the total number of titles kept in it, and the possibility that guests from Italy contribute to enriching the book fund.
The Ambassador of Italy, H.E. Vicenzo del Monaco, announced more frequent visits to the National Library in order to express his commitment to the cultural and general linking of Montenegro and Italy.
Director Rakočević presented guests from Italy with occasional gifts in the form of issues related to the Italian Embassy and treasury of the National Library.
