The promotion of the novel “The White Raven” in edition of National Library of Montenegro “Djurdje Crnojevic” will be held on April 28, at the ceremonial hall of the library in Cetinje, with the beginning at 19 o’clock.
“The Novel about Fictional Library in Several Readings or Djurdje Crnojevic’s Journal” – what is book subtitle – is the second novel of this famous Montenegrin writer, literary critic and journalist. It’s a work with historical inspiration in which the character of the Montenegrin ruler, Djurdje Crnojevic, has been revived. In the same time, it’s a novel about the fate of books and one of the rear novels about the library. Reviewers, the writer Pavle Goranovic and the publicist Marijan Miljic, were unanimous in their assessment that the novel “The White Raven” is the lifetime achievement of Borislav Jovanovic – unique and atypical, not only in Montenegrin literature, but also in literature of neighboring countries. Apart from that, reviewers have pointed out the importance and symbolism of the selection of the publisher – Central National Library of Montenegro “Djurdje Crnojevic”, which has been personalized in a specific way in Jovanovic’s novel. During the promotion, the director of Central National Library, Jelena Djurovic, the writer and literary critic Pavle Goranovic, the historian Prof. Dr Zivko Andrijasevic, the publicist Marijan Miljic and the very author – Borislav Jovanovic, will speak about “The White Raven”.
