All her life and after the death she has been and remained one of the largest women’s poetic icons, whose lyrics are still being remembered by many generations in this region. This exhibition of her written legacy is therefore a chance to peek in our own past, into the days when together with Desanka we sought pardon for the poems, poets, magicians … – said Đurović. One of the authors of the exhibition, a senior librarian NLS Mirjana Stanišić said that from a rich Desanka’s legacy, which was until recently treasured by her closest relatives, it was separated the most representative part of the material that testifies to the artistic creation of the poet, as well as her intimate world.– The exhibition is divided into several segments. Particularly interesting segment are her personal documents. Invitations of the ambassadors of various countries to the ceremonies and receptions, postcards, telegrams and greeting cards were separated from the rich correspondence that was preserved – Stanišić said, adding that there were included correspondences with the writer Iva Radivoljna, interpreter Olga Kustasova and with Radovan Zogović.
