Marijan Mašo Miljić was born in the village of Luka (Žabljak municipality) in 1951. He graduated from the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade. He worked as a professor at the Educational Center in Cetinje, as a librarian at the Central National Library “Đurđe Crnojević” in Cetinje and as the head of the Library of the Historical Institute of Montenegro in Podgorica.
He was the president of the Association of Librarians of Montenegro. He received the highest recognition of Montenegrin librarians, the “Dr Niko Simov Martinović” award.
He published two books of poetry: “Đavolje lazi” and “Vrijeme taštine” and edited a large number of significant publications. He published texts in magazines and newspapers in the fields of literary and art criticism, journalism, culture, historiography and bibliography.
