The exhibition “Montenegrin Photographs in Europeana” by authors Slađana Sjekloća and Boris Kaluđerović will be opened by prof. dr Maja Đurić (an Art Historian and the first woman – professional photographer in Montenegro) on Monday, July 10 at the hall of the National Library “Đurđe Crnojević” in Cetinje at 1pm.
This, like other photographs collections owned by the National Library and represents a valuable source of information about the history of people from these areas, which has yet to be revealed to users and preserved for future generations.
After the library processing of the presented photos and postcards in the mutual cataloging system COBISS and their digitization, the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” plans to post the same to the “Europeana” portal by the end of this year, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture.
