LITERARY EVENING “ONE DAY, IT WILL BE AS WE WISHED” DEDICATED TO RATKO VUJOŠEVIĆ HELD AT THE NATIONAL LIBRARY OF MONTENEGRO

In direct contact and cooperation with the family of Ratko Vujošević, the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” designed and realized a literary evening entitled “One day, it will be as we wished”, dedicated to the great Montenegrin poet Ratko Vujošević.

The evening was opened with a video recording of the famous poem “Au Revoir Montenegro”, directed by Gojko Kastratović, after which the director of the Library, Dragica Lompar, and publicist Slobodan Vuković addressed the audience.

Writers Zuvdija Hodžić and Miraš Martinović spoke about their own experiences and impressions of Vujošević and his work.

Photographs from Vujošević's personal archive were shown on the projector. They were kindly given to us by Čedomila Vujošević Đurđić and Ana Vujošević,.

Audience enjoyed the following videos:

  • an excerpt from the conversation between the literary critic Bogić Rakočević and Ratko Vujošević, on the occasion of the publication of the book “Infinite Callings”;
  • an excerpt from Janko Vukotić's conversation with Ratko Vujošević about the book “In Spanish Trenches”, written by the Spanish fighter and writer;
  • Ratko Vujošević's poem “Joyful”, interpreted by actor Rade Šerbedžija, on the occasion of Europe Day.

They also got an opportunity to hear an audio recording of the poem “Au Revoir Montenegro” in French, translated by Kolja Mićević and interpreted by Romen Bigot.

The verses of the poems “Woman” and “Faithful” were spoken by actress Ana Vujošević, the poet's daughter.

At the end, visitors enjoyed the exhibition “Ratko Vujošević - Poetry and Literature”, which was prepared by librarian advisor Milenija Vračar, while Sandra Đurović did the posters’ design. Interested public can still come to the building of the former Italian Embassy and enjoy the exhibition.
