Given that a large number of COBISS.Net Council members were also present at the 10th South East European National Librarians Conference in Struga, which was held from October 4 to 6, the president of this body, Dr. Ismet Ovčina, proposed to hold a meeting of the Council as well.

Representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Montenegro and IZUM were present at the session.

The minutes from the previous meeting, which was held via the ZOOM platform in June this year, were adopted at the beginning of the meeting.

The director of IZUM, Dr. Aleš Bošnjak, informed participants that due to the floods that hit Slovenia during the previous period, it is not certain about the amount of the total development aid of the Republic of Slovenia to the members of COBISS.Net in 2023. For now, the amount of EUR 20,000.00 is certain, and it is necessary for all countries to send as soon as possible reports on the activities that will be financed from these funds, as well as accompanying invoices.

Mr. Bošnjak also informed those present that the library in Koprivnica, due to the fact that the National and University Library in Zagreb uses another library and information system, will take over the role of the national COBISS center and that several other Croatian libraries will join the system.

The present members of the Council supported this initiative, as the first step in the inclusion of Croatian libraries in the COBISS system.
