The promotion of the book “Ukrainians
- the People of Freedom” by the Montenegrin writer, journalist and Ukrainianist
Božidar Proročić, organized by the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe
Crnojević” with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in Montenegro, will be
held at the Library in Cetinje on Thursday, October 3, starting at 6 p.m.
Mr. E. Oleh Herasymenko, Ambassador
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Montenegro, Veljko Đukanović,
professor of literature and author will speak at the promotion.
Božidar Proročić has been dealing
with Ukrainian issues for a long time and is known as a sincere friend of
Ukraine and Ukrainians. He is the author of several books on Ukrainian history
and culture, including one of the first books in the Western Balkans about the
great crime against the Ukrainian people - the Holodomor (the Great Famine) from
1932 to 1933.
“Ukrainians - the People of
Freedom” is his latest book, which is dedicated to the most prominent figures
from Ukrainian history and reveals many important, but at the same time
little-known facts from Ukraine's past.
