REPRESENTATIVES OF WRITTEN CULTURAL HERITAGE OF MONTENEGRO IN THE WHITE ROOM OF THE PARLIAMENT OF MONTENEGRO

In the White Room of the Parliament of Montenegro, which was recently thoroughly renovated, it is presented over 200 extremely valuable, high-quality and representative titles in the field of written cultural heritage of Montenegro, i.e. the history of our country, its traditions and culture in general.

Considering that the White Salon is often the place of the most important parliamentary dialogues and the place where an exchange of opinions of the highest officials on the national and international level takes place, the Parliament of Montenegro this way points out the importance of valuing, preserving and promoting the rich Montenegrin written cultural heritage.

Montenegrin bibliography in four volumes (33 books), the capital edition of the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević”, with several hundred thousand bibliographic units related to our country in the period of half a millennium was presented, as well as reprint editions that in various periods marked Montenegrin history and culture, i.e. incunabula from Crnojević's printing house, titles of the Montenegrin periodicals (Crnogorac, Glas Crnogorca, Orlić, Crnogorka, Zeta…). There is also a photo type edition of the only preserved authorized Njegoš’s manuscript – “Svobodijada”, as well as titles from other editions of the National Library: Bio-bibliographies and Special editions.
