In the year of celebrating 150
years of journalism, Radio and Television of Montenegro, in cooperation with
the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” and OSCE, an exhibition of
photographs, newspaper and magazine covers was opened last night in the
National Library in Cetinje.
The exhibition setting, which is
conceived through four program segments, was opened by its coordinator Nikola
Vujanović, journalist and member of the Association of Journalists of
Montenegro. Except him, Vladimir Rajković, doyen of radio journalism and Naod
Zorić, academic painter and member of the Radio and Television of Montenegro’s Council
delivered their speeches.
The first period, from 1835 to
1918, is expressed through scanned covers of 14 newspapers and magazines, while
the second segment, which covers the next 23 years, is presented through 19 of
them, enriched with phototype editions and originals, and also marks the most
productive period of printing and publishing in Montenegro.
The interval from 1941 to 1945, i.e.
the time of occupation, is shown through 7 scanned covers, and 21 cover pages
show the period from 1945 to the present. In addition to the scanned pages, the
exhibition consists of the originals of individual newspapers and magazines,
the titles of some working organizations, local newspapers and magazines, as
well as phototype editions, available to visitors for reviewing and scrolling.
