The annual CDNL
conference was held on September 8, 2021 online, via Zoom app. The host was the
National Library of Australia, which is credited with the successful
coordination and impeccable technical support during the conference.
Dragica Lompar,
director and Sladjana Sjekloća, international cooperation coordinator attended the
conference on behalf of the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević”.
The main topics were the uncertainties faced by national libraries and the way
in which they face the risks and opportunities that arise from them.
Presentations on this topic were given by the directors of the National Library
of Australia and the British National Library, while the main lecture was
prepared by Martin Van Staveren from the University of Twente.
The Board of
Directors was also elected, i.e. the President and two Vice-Presidents. The
president remained Lily Knibbeler, director of the National (Royal) Library of
the Netherlands.
